The Algerian national community living abroad can apply for a biometric identity card via the Internet from now. The Minister of the Interior and Local Assemblies, Noureddine Bedoui, said that from now, Algerian citizens are able, from a consular service, to register via the Internet and ask for their Biometric national identity card. He explained that members of the national community, who already have their biometric passport, will get their biometric card under easier procedures

A very reliable system has been implemented to produce secure documents (passports, biometric identity cards) within a maximum of ten days.
